Savvy Valentine's Day Makeup Tips & Tricks:

1. Exfoliate. Winter skin can be dull and sallow, but exfoliating by gently smoothing a warm washcloth in circles over your face in the shower will slough away dead cells and leave your skin fresh and glowing.  Don't forget to exfoliate your lips as well for a soft, smooth pout.

2. Whiten. Dip your toothbrush in a little baking soda and brush away for a minute or so.  Whiter teeth happens to make you look younger and will also draw attention to your pretty pucker.

3. Cream Team. Instead of powder blush, go with a cream blush one shade deeper than the natural blush of your cheeks when pinched.  Cream blush blends into skin more naturally making you look like you're glowing from the inside out.  Look for formulas with "highlighter" or "illuminator" in the name which indicates that they contain light-reflecting particles, helping your glowy cause.

4. Heavy Coat. Add one more coat of mascara than your usual regime.  If you're used to 1 coat, go with 2.  If you're a twobie, be a threebie to maximize lashes on Valentine's Day and bring attention to the windows of your savvy soul without getting into the muss and fuss of a smokey eye.

5. Gloss Over. Trade in your lipstick for a gloss for a dewy, younger looking pout.

6. Let Loose. Don't micromanage your hair, instead leave it soft and flowy by scrunching wet locks with a light weight texturizing mousse.
