Kick The Bottle Habit: Savvy Solution for Red Eyes

A certain bummed-out golfer has been appearing so red-eyed in the media lately, I keep wondering why none of his friends have helped him out by tossing him a little bottle of pre-confession/interview/press conference eye drops.  Either the guy doesn't have any friends left, or they have discovered, like us, that traditional over-the-counter (OTC) drops may not be as great for eyes as we think.

Yep, you heard me, OTC drops can actually cause eyes to become even more sensitive and with frequent use, can cause a rebound effect, wherein red-eye symptoms are temporarily masked, but return in full force requiring continual drop usage, and requiring continual drop purchases...funny how that works out, isn't it?

Your savviest red-eye solution?  Making sure your hands are clean, and while cupping cold water, do a quick, but gentle eye bath, blinking several times to let water into your pupils.  Repeat a few times and if eyes are still red, follow up with an ice cold compress wrapped in a kitchen towel over eyes for 5 minutes twice a day and your blood shot eyes will disappear, the safe (and savvy) way!
