Housing Works. It Really Does Work.

Since 1990, Housing Works has been working tirelessly and creatively to end the twin crises of AIDS and homelessness.  Believing that the elimination of one equals the elimination of two, Housing Works aims to provide the highest quality of services for men, women and children living with AIDS.

We are huge fans of the Housing Works thrift and book stores, each packed to the rafters with carefully edited, quality clothing, books and furniture, reflecting the spirit of this dynamic organization and committed staff.  With regularly scheduled auctions to raise funds by offering up donated fine art, furniture and designer goods for bidding, Housing Works uses every opportunity to do the greatest amount of good with what they have on hand.

With a new thrift store in NYC's Hell's Kitchen in the works, our very own Sarah Morgan, of eenamaria has been enlisted to promote the cause by hitting the red carpet at the Golden Globes wearing a Vintage Halston gown from Housing Works' collection (we told you they were savvy).  Sarah will also be collecting celebrity signatures on her chic handbags, which will be donated to the cause.  In addition, profits from every eenamaria handbag purchased through 24Savvy.com will be donated to Housing Works.

I live in Bk Heights, and I "cruise" the thrift store often. You can find great pieces of furniture and books. Which helps with my book club, I often find multiple selections and buy them for the other members in my book club. Love this place.

Hi Julee, I used to live in BK Heights, on Grace Court. It's such a nice place to live.
