Kidz Bop Music for Kids

When I became a parent 6 ½ years ago, I had no idea my CD collection would be overrun with musicians like Laurie Berkner, Dan Zanes, Ralph’s World, Kids Music Together and Bible songs for kids.  They’re all great music choices for kids, but there comes a point, especially in the car, when I want to listen to my own music.  A highlight of my day is to sit behind the wheel, tune into a great song and get lost in the music.  And believe me it’s nice to get lost sometimes.  Like a mini-mental break in my daily mom routine.  And getting lost to Dan Zanes’, All Around The Kitchen, just doesn’t happen.  What’s the solution?

Music for Kids

Thanks to a friend of mine, I found a great compromise between my favorite music and my kids!  It’s called Kidz Bop, which produces today’s biggest hit songs sung by kids for kids.  It’s the number one music brand for children ages 5-12, and the album Kidz Bop 18 has the latest hit songs like California Gurls, Hey Soul Sister, Single Ladies, Evacuate the Dance Floor and many more.  Now when my kids request ‘their’ music, I’m actually happy to turn it up and sing myself.  Plus I don’t have to worry about less-than-appropriate lyrics with Kidz Bop.  So next time you carpool, pop in Kidz Bop and get ready for a fun and loud ride!  Just download the album from ITunes, or order the CD from www.kidzbop.com or web sites like Amazon.com.

And remember, in the end its still music for kids.  Therefore don’t get too upset when Lady GaGa’s, Alejandro, doesn’t quite hit the same note as the real deal.  Happy driving and enjoy the ride!
