My tip for staying warm is to wear a headband...when my ears are warm, it doesn't seem like the rest of my body is cold.
  • Rebecca  - Staying warm
My tip to staying warm is to wear thick, cozy socks.
  • Babs Coppedge  - Gloves, Gloves, Gloves!
To stay warm? We don't run the heat at night in our home bcuz I like to cuddle under lots of blankets, and the heat seems to congest everyone, too; but I always kick it on for a bit in the morning to take the chill off the home. It seems to keep our home at a comfortable, but not budget-busting, temperature. If it's cold at night, I put a fire on in the living room. Why I like this? Because it draws all my favorite people to one place. Even if kids are on ipods or reading books, we're all gathered in the same place. This warms my heart too!
  • Becky  - How I stay warm
I like to stay inside when it's cold. My favorite way to warm up is with homemade soups. They can be as comforting as macaroni and cheese, but with a lot less damage to the waistline.
  • Micki Darazsdi  - Staying Warm
My favorite way to stay warm in the winter is to wear layers.
I start with a thermal undershirt, next a turtleneck, and finally a flannel shirt. TOASTY!
  • Sammi  - Staying Warm
take breaks when shoveling snow - avoid frostbit fingers!
  • helen  - Tip
I wear thick tights under my jeans/pants for extra coverage. In fact, since they don't show, this extends the usage of tights with small runs/tears.

My tip is to get some of those HeatMax HotHands 2® Hand Warmers and keep them in your purse, pocket and car because you never know when you will need that extra blast of heat and those REALLY warm you up fast. They were originally designed for hunters but they really are a city girls best friend, that and cute texting gloves :)

I stay warm by always having coffee, always Also like many have said a hat is great for keeping in body heat. Also thermal underwear, ok maybe not the best for a hot date but your booty will stay nice and warm :)
  • Erin F  - Stay Warm!
Great giveaway! For keeping warm I'm all about hot tea as a handwarmer. I cuddle my cup, and keep it interesing by adding fresh mint or a tiny bit of a vanilla bean to my tea for some natural flavoring.

We are season ticket holders to the buffalo bills, we we know how to stay warm on cold days for sure! We don't just buy the toe and hand warmers - we buy thermacare (or any brand) heat patches / body wraps to put on our legs, neck, back and chest for extra warmth! Works for going sledding and snow tubing too!

I always find it most helpful to dress in layers- long sleeved tees, a sweater or light hoodie, a jacket, and a scarf. That way, I can wear as many or as few as the layers as I need depending on where I am.
  • monica
My savvy tip.. i wear a lot of light layers. For example, a sports bra, then a tank, then a tee, then a long sleeved tee, then a hoodie zip up and then a coat.. and a scarf. each layer i can peel off comfort wise. I do this everyday! I shop at thrift to get my underlayers, ugly printed long sleeved tees, I stay very warm! and cozy!
