    My favorite piece of knit-wear given to me is a wedding afghan that was knit by my grandmother...it is a beautiful creamy white throw that I cherish.

    My favorite piece of knitwear was a sweater from my grandma. I loved it but it was wool and really scratchy so I usually just admired it from the closet.

    My mom was a fantastic knitter—she taught me to knit too but I was never as good as she was. She did all the fancy stitches—fair isle, aran, any pattern or texture, no matter how complicated, all while hardly ever looking at her needles. She could knit a pair of baby booties while watching one movie on TV to give to her pregnant friends—she was just great. The best thing I ever knitted was a scarf for my 15-year-old niece (it took me forever and was a simple pattern). It came out great and my niece loved it but it's nothing like the aran sweater my mom made for me when I was in high school—a beautiful classic that went with everything.

    I've never been given knit-wear since I'm the only one who knits that I know of. My favorite gift though were Gothic lace up finger-less gloves for my teenage niece. Found the pattern online and she LOVES them.

    My favorite knitted item is my personalized Christmas stocking knitted by my great-aunt in 1951. Everyone in 3 generations has the same stocking knitted by a family member.

    My favorite is a sweater my grandmother knitted for my brother. She knitted tons of wonderful sweaters for us as kids and my sister inherited the girls ones but I got this one surviving boy sweater (my brother was rough on clothes LOL) since I have boys and my youngest is no wearing it. It looks as good today as when it was made almost 40 years ago!

    The only knit-wear I've ever received was a little baby hat. A nice lady made a whole bunch and gave them to my OB/GYN to hand out to all the new mommies. It was beautiful! :)

    I received a red and white striped scarf about 5 years ago as a surprise from my friend's mom. i wear it all the time! it is like a candy cane and keeps me so warm in the winter!

    My best friend knitted me a beautiful blue and white scarf for my 16th birthday. I am 30 and still wear that scarf to this day. It has very lose knitting and strings hang from the end. It is the scarf that inspired me to start knitting myself.

    My favorite piece of knit wear was a scarf that my Grandma helped knit for my daughter. She had arthritis and died when I was still pregnant with my daughter, so it means a lot.

    Oh I would love to learn how to do this!
    My favorite peice is my Christmas stocking that my aunt made me. I cherish it! It is green, red, and white and even has fuzzy fur on it and a bell on the toe.

    My grandmother made me a knitted scarf for Christmas 3 years ago. I know it must have been hard for her as she had Arthritis in her hands. I lost her soon after that Christmas and I cherish the scarf more than anything in the world.

    My aunt used to make me a jumper for Christmas every year and I loved them all. My favourite was one she knitted for me when I was about 8 years old and it was a bright pink jumper with white bunnies on it and she told me she had to use my uncles big toes to be able to make it's pom pom fluffy tail!
