7 Ways to Pull Off A Smart Look With a Simple Tee

Contrary to the all-popular belief in the superiority of basic black as our most flattering fashion friend, classic white can be an equally magnanimous hue to set off your curves in their loveliest light. As long as you stick with cotton tees made with a supple fabric blend—such as cotton with a small percentage of spandex or jersey—and providing you polish up with an accessory or two, you can flaunt your figure with confidence in the simplest (and cheapest) of fashion finds.
Fun Ways to Re-Use Makeup Containers

Whether or not you invest in luxury beauty products, makeup packaging can be so pretty; it's a shame to toss it just because the contents run out. Since most of the purchase price of a piece of makeup goes towards pretty packaging rather than the makeup-y goodness itself, we've come up with savvy ways to repurpose those chic containers.
It goes without saying that packaging should be thoroughly cleaned, dried and makeup free, which can be a bit of a chore depending on the product, so we reserve some of these savvy solutions for high-quality containers only.
How to Clean: Plastic containers that have been thoroughly rinsed of product can go in the dishwasher for a final cleaning boost. Old toothbrushes and Q-tips are fab tools for getting in small corners.

Wine bottles are made of some of the toughest glass known to humankind, it’s a shame to toss them out. One of our favorite re-uses is to keep 2-3 bottles filled with water in the fridge--it's a dream to come home on a hot day and pour ourselves a nice, chilled glass of water, without letting half a gallon drain from the tap waiting for it to cool to our liking. They also make lovely carafes during a meal and having one or two as backup in the fridge upgrades your dining experience in a luxe, restaurant-like way.
One Throwaway, Three Savvy Uses: Tea Bags

We have no doubt that there are not one, but two kinds of tea bag throwaways in every Savvy Girl's kitchen: 1) the wet, limp variety left over after you've sipped your piping hot cup, and 2) the kind that's still in it's box or tin that has never seen the inside of your favorite mug because it's too fruity/cinnamony/strong/weak/whatever. It's ok. We've all received well-intended gift tins of tea we never could bring ourselves to put to good use, but never fear, we can put them to work now!
