- The human body scientifically has a harder time processing & digesting animal proteins.
- I can have FUN putting together new recipes and finding protein alternatives. (tempeh, tofu, beans, DIY veggie burgers)
- Livestock farming contributes to 18% of greenhouse gas emission in comparison to the 13% of greenhouse gas emissions generated by all of the cars, trains, planes & boats around the world.
- Red meat can take a toll on your health.. especially in women. (with high saturated fat & cholesterol)
I have been having a blast getting creative with this whole process. I have found some amazing vegan & vegetarian blogs & websites that provide me with recipes, ideas, & substitutions. I think of it as a kind of challenge, I guess… and I NEVER turn down one of those. I also feel better than ever & have actually lost weight already with this process.
In the end, I think that everyone should do what they think is best for them… but why not try it out for a week? A whole month? You might surprise yourself.
