Enter our favorite holiday decor for small spaces and budgets: the garland. These make divine decor not only because they're inexpensive to make, they also cover a lot of ground by turning ordinary bannisters, windowpanes, plain walls and door frames into a party waiting to happen. They're also biodegradable and compostable in many cases and/or they store completely flat in others. Here's a list of our favorite inexpensive garlands.
