Decorating the Thanksgiving table can be a 1-2-3 punch as easy as a snap of the fingers, thanks to the rich, beautiful colors Mother Nature provides us with her fall produce and foliage.  I mean, why spend money on pricey flowers when everything you need for a pretty and unusual centerpiece can be found at the grocery store and in your own cabinets?

The 1-2-3 Punch Produce Centerpieces require:

  1. Some type of produce or foliage. Our favorites include rich, ruby cranberries, mini pumpkins, gourds, squashes, apples, holly berry branches, colored leaves and pine cones.
  2. Vessels. These could be your great Aunt Bea's crystal bowls, serving platters, cake plates, glass votives or wooden cutting boards.  Small things grouped together or one large statement piece are savvy bets.
  3. Candles. Multiple sizes work beautifully to create visual drama on the table and look more expensive than they actually are.

Great suggestions. One thing I love to do is take old vessels or chachkis and use spray paint to give them a much more modern flair. I've gotten so many compliments on the ceramic turkey figurine that I sprayed lime green - it really made the table pop!
