Game Night for Easy, Last Minute Fun
Clue: Clue's high-drama kitch is endlessly fun and if you get really inspired, order a set of Clue t-shirts beforehand to get in the mood and serve Bloody Marys to the adults. (We're coveting the Miss Scarlet tee, of course).
Pictionary: Everyone loves giving their artistic skills a whirl under the unforgiving atmosphere of a boisterous audience. The beauty of this game is that the worse you are at drawing, the more fun it is. Serve up Van Gogh's favorite drink, Absinthe or Pastis to get in touch with your tortured inner artist.
Monopoly: Even though it really takes place in Atlantic City, no one will mind if you serve up Manhattans while you play the updated round-version of this classic game with electronic banking. If you're playing with children serve up something green like Grasshopper Milkshakes (vanilla milkshakes with a few drops of mint extract and green food coloring).
Twister: Equally fun to participate and watch, twister doubles as a mini stretching workout. In honor of the swinging 60s, when Twister was made famous by Eva Gabor and Johnny Carson playing it on the Tonight Show, play 60s era hits like Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and serve up classic cocktails like Dirty Martinis and Brandy Alexanders.
Scrabble: I thought Facebook was going to collapse after the removal of Scrabulous, but thankfully the game is still keeping wordsmiths happy in board-and-tile form. Since you're going to need your full brain power to win, serve up one of these espresso-based cocktails from Illy to stay bright and alert.
