Healing Turmeric Ginger Tea
As the weather gets colder it is inevitable that some of us will start to get the telltale signs of a cold- scratchy throat, stuffy nose. I have equipped myself to combat the symptoms as soon as I catch wind of their schemes, in order to try and skip the worst of it. Ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and honey have a long history of being used to fight agains illness; they help your immune system fight off any attack and turmeric especially is known for it anti-inflammatory properties. Taking it as a tea is an easy way to gain the benefits without too much prep and hassle.
Turmeric Ginger Tea
- 1 tsp Turmeric Root- grated (can also use a powder, although it is not as nice in a tea)
- 1 tsp Ginger Root - grated or thinly sliced
- Cinnamon Stick
- Honey - to taste
Combine the above in a pot of water, bring to a boil, and let it simmer for 30 minutes. Strain it and sip those cold symptoms away!
