Best Fashion Week Beauty You Can Wear: Barettes

One look that caught our eye on the New York and London Fashion Week runways is a side-swept 'do pinned with a simple, elegant barrette. Although our lady friend at right is a little too Daisy Buchanan for our taste, letting our hair dry naturally with a little soft wave is just the thing we could go for on a lazy hair day.
We here at Savvy Central have been caught-up in the whirlwind that is New York Fashion Week - SO exciting, SO fabulous, SO chic, SO expensive.....AAAARRRRRGH! But, after taking a quick breath to recover, we thought we'd try and find some cute little ideas for DIY Fashionistas (like yourself) to try at home. First off, a suede studded clutch (OK.....not a major piece, but a nice and easy accessory to get the creative juices flowing)!
Easy, Pretty Spring Beauty: Lip Stain

We've long ago cast aside full-coverage lipstick in favor of glosses, particularly in spring, and we were uber-stoked (about as stoked as a savvy girl can get) to see soft, muted lip stain hues on the Paris runways last season. So uber-stoked were we, we found savvy, splurge and steal options for you, dear readers, to wash your lips in a little lovely color that is flattering, feminine and easy. Hence, the beauty of lip stains: they've got the same bearable lightness of being as a gloss, with a pinch of pigment with real staying power.
