We here at Savvy Central have been caught-up in the whirlwind that is New York Fashion Week - SO exciting, SO fabulous, SO chic, SO expensive.....AAAARRRRRGH! But, after taking a quick breath to recover, we thought we'd try and find some cute little ideas for DIY Fashionistas (like yourself) to try at home. First off, a suede studded clutch (OK.....not a major piece, but a nice and easy accessory to get the creative juices flowing)!
Green Jeans: Savvy, Sexy Denim with a Conscience

Who doesn't love denim? A good pair flatters and lifts the buns, slims the legs, hits your curves in all the right places and if you shop savvy, sticks around in your wardrobe for years and years.
Haute Hose: Savvy Stockings For Every Size

Much like nail polish, stockings, leggings and tights are our favorite savvy secrets for sprinkling on some sass when our budget is tight, particularly at this time of year, when we have piles of invites but lack the piles of cash to luxe up our look. Hosiery is such an inexpensive way to upgrade your wardrobe making even the frugalest of sale-rack finds look chic and luxe, just like magic. Even more magical: tights are illusory, slimming and shaping legs as needed.
