For Love of Fajitas
It’s National Fajita Day and we CANNOT be more excited! There is just something so satisfying about that unmistakable sizzle coming your way. Some of our favorite cities in America to get delicious fajitas are:
Houston, Texas
Where to eat: Papasito’s Cantina
Trusted review: Chef Ronnie Killen of Killen’s Barbeque and Steakhouse says, “the fajitas are marinated in soy sauce and pineapple, making them very tender and flavorful. They come with homemade tortillas and tableside guacamole.” Doesn’t that sound delicious?
Las Vegas, Nevada
Where to eat: Juan’s Flaming Fajitas & Cantina
Trusted review: Heidi Knapp Rinella of the Las Vegas Review - Journal says, “while fajitas are almost always served on sizzle platters, the flames in this case take that a few degrees farther (literally), the fiery-hot top part ensuring that the meat and vegetables are thoroughly caramelized, which increases the flavor considerably.” Yum!
Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Where to eat: Fiesta Grill
Trusted review: A review on Trip Advisor said Fiesta Grill has the “best Mexican food east of Mississippi” and called the fajitas “perfect.” Sounds like it can’t get much better than that.
Chicago, Illinois
Where to eat: Broken English Taco Pub
Trusted review: Taste of Home has this to say: “This colorful and quirky cantina, with its graffitied walls and parade of piñatas, is on every Chicago taco lover’s bucket list.”
New York, New York
Where to eat: Agave Restaurant and Tequila Bar
Trusted review: We saved the best for last. This is our own personal recommendation! We love the fajitas here because they offer a vegetarian option that uses unique ingredients, such as asparagus, baby carrots, onions, and green and red peppers. They are absolutely delicious and go perfectly with their mezcal margarita.
Now, if you want to stay home and whip up some homemade fajitas, we highly recommend this spice mix to add flair to any of the fillings you choose! Bon Appetit.
